Account and Data Deletion
Your privacy and control over your personal data are extremely important to us. Bodymodo is designed as a local-first application, but if you have created an account or opted into cloud-enabled features, you can request full account and data removal at any time.
How to Delete Your Account In-App (Recommended)
The fastest and most secure way to delete your account is directly within the Bodymodo application:
- Open the Bodymodo app on your device.
- Navigate to the Profile tab (bottom right).
- Scroll down and tap on Delete Account.
- Confirm your decision in the prompt.
This will instantly and permanently delete your Firebase user credentials and clear any active cloud records.
How to Request Deletion via Email
If you have already uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, you can request manual deletion of your account and associated records by emailing our developer support team:
support@bodymodo.com
Please include the email address associated with your Bodymodo account in the subject or body of your message. Our team will verify and process your request within 7 business days.
What Data is Deleted
Upon receiving a deletion request (either in-app or via email):
- Your authentication credentials (email, Firebase user ID, Google OAuth associations) are completely deleted.
- If you have opted into analytics or AI features, all associated Firebase metadata linked to your identifier is queued for deletion from active storage.
- All local app databases on your physical device are automatically wiped if you trigger deletion inside the app.
What Data is Retained
We do not retain personal health, workout, or nutrition history. We may retain completely anonymized app crash logs (via Firebase Crashlytics) and anonymous, high-level interaction metrics that cannot be traced back to any personal email or User ID, strictly for app stability and quality maintenance.
